It was a busy night for Joplin Firefighters.
At approximately 11:30pm, Engine 3C and Battalion 1C responded fo assist the Webb City Missouri Fire Department on a residential structure fire.
Ladder 1C, Engine 3C, Rescue 3C, Ladder 5C, and Battalion 1C responded to a report of a structure fire at Teleperformance, 1110 E. 7th Suite 2 at 2:33 AM and reported a one story commercial strip mall with light smoke in the structure with the fire alarm and sprinklers activated.
Ladder 1C, Engine 3C, Rescue 3C, Ladder 5C, and Battalion 1C responded to a report of a structure fire at Teleperformance, 1110 E. 7th Suite 2 at 2:33 AM and reported a one story commercial strip mall with light smoke in the structure with the fire alarm and sprinklers activated.
Crews entered the structure and found multiple areas of fire that had already been extinguished by the sprinkler system. The crews did overhaul to the areas to ensure there was no extension to other parts of the building. There were no injuries and the fire was determined to be arson.
At 4:25 AM, Engine 6C, Engine 2C, Ladder 1C, Rescue 3C, Battalion 1C, and Engine 4C on second alarm responded to a report of a residential structure fire at 4323 W. 27th Place. The first arriving crew arrived at 4:31 AM and found a single story wood frame residence with fire and smoke coming from the rear of the structure. Crews made an interior attack and found fire in the living room area. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire, however, there was moderate heat and smoke damage throughout the structure. There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is listed as undetermined.
Assistance was provided by Joplin Police Department and Metro Emergency Transport System on both fires.
