Joplin man charged with felony driving while intoxicated following accident near Airport Drive injures two Joplin residents

A Joplin man was charged with felony driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle accident 3:56 a.m. today on Lone Elm Road, a half mile southwest of Airport Drive that injured two people.

According to the Highway Patrol, a 2011 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Jason P. Madden, 22, Joplin, traveled off the roadway and struck a tree.








Two passengers, Chase A. Bolin, 26, and Kylie R. Howerton, 22, both of Joplin, were treated for moderate injuries, with Bolin going to Freeman West Hospital. The patrol report did not note where Howerton was taken.

In addition to DWI, Madden was cited for careless and imprudent driving, driving while suspended or revoked and possession of a suspended or revoked license, according to the Highway Patrol.
