Lamar residents injured in two-vehicle collision

Two Lamar residents were injured in a two-vehicle collision 1:35 p.m. today on SE 30th Road, a mile and a half southeast of Lamar.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1999 Dodge pickup driven by Jessica J. Smith, 26, Lamar, failed to yield to a 2009 Saturn Vue driven by Jesse D. Irwin, 56, Lamar, in an uncontrolled four-way intersection.

Smith and Irwin were treated for minor injuries at Cox Barton County Hospital, Lamar.
