According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1976 Ford 7000 driven by Brent A. Luthi, 27, Jasper, pulled into the path of a 1991 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Charles R. Shaver, 77, Liberal.
Shaver was pronounced dead at the scene by Barton County Deputy Coroner Rusty Boyd at 3:37 p.m.
The fatality is the 66th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
