The driver was arrested and cited for: DWS, Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana. The female passenger was arrested and cited for: Possession. The male passenger was arrested and cited for: Possession, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, False Info to Police, and Obstructing Police. All 3 subjects were transported to Newton County Jail.

On 10/8/20, Officer Zimmerman made a traffic stop at Big Daddy’s for suspicious activity. The front passenger jumped out of the car and took off running. The suspect was apprehended approximately one block north of the original car stop, after a short foot pursuit.The male subject was identified as Lennie Olsen. Olsen had 9 active warrants. 3 Neosho warrants for: FTA Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, FTA Financial Responsibility, and FTA Turn Signals Hand and Mechanical. 1 Seneca warrant for: FTA DWS. 2 Newton County warrants for: FTA Property Damage 1st Degree Felony and FTA DWS. 2 Joplin warrants for: FTA No Insurance and FTA DWS. 1 McDonald County warrant for: Felony Aggravated Assault. Olsen was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail. Olsen was also booked on new charges.

On 10/4/20, Officer Zimmerman made a traffic stop at Hwy 60 by the roundabout for an equipment violation. The driver was arrested and cited for: DWS, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of Controlled Substance then transported to Newton County Jail.

On 9/23/20, Officer Thiel made contact with a suspicious person. The male subject, Harley Schmohe had 5 Newton County warrants for: DWI-persistant, DWR, No Insurance, Stop Sign and Seatbelt. 1 Carl Junction warrant for: Peace Disturbance. Schmohe was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail.
