Three arrested, meth confiscated following Lamar traffic stop

On 10/9/2020, detectives with the Ozarks Drug Enforcement Team and officers with the Lamar Police Department conducted a traffic stop in Lamar, Missouri.

During the traffic stop, multiple baggies containing suspected methamphetamine were located.

Also located in the vehicle was an illegal firearm. Both the driver and the passenger of the vehicle were found to be felons and had active warrants for their arrest.









They were identified as Christopher Powell of Vinita, Oklahoma and Daniel Roberts of Jasper, Missouri.

ODET detectives and officers of the Lamar Police Department investigated a house that the vehicle was seen leaving prior to the stop.

During the investigation additional baggies of suspected methamphetamine and evidence of distribution was located inside the home.

Georgia Sauerwin of Lamar, Missouri, was placed under arrest and is being held in the Barton County Jail on a no bond warrant for distribution of a controlled substance.
