Truman Day celebration set for Saturday in Lamar

Join Harry S Truman Birthplace State Historic Site team members along with the Barton County Chamber of Commerce from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 7 to celebrate Harry S Truman’s 138th birthday.

The event will include period re-enactors representing Truman's life, goods and produce vendors, a talent show, a baby show, kids games and crafts, period performances, wagon rides and tethered hot air balloon rides.

The Harry S Truman Birthplace is located at 1009 Truman St. in Lamar, 2 miles off of Interstate 49. For more information about the event, call the site at 417-682-2279.
