Carterville man identified as Grand Falls drowning victim

A Carterville man drowned at Shoal Creek Grand Falls Tuesday, according to the Highway Patrol report.

Stanley Luhk 35, attempted to go over Grand Falls with a pool toy, struck a rock and drowned, the report said.

The drowning was the sixth this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
