On June 14, 2022, investigators with the Crawford County Sheriff's Office arrested 38-year-old Timothy Fortine of Cherokee on a Crawford County warrant for aggravated indecent liberties with a child under the age of 14, aggravated criminal sodomy with a child under 14 and rape.
The arrest was a result of an investigation by the Crawford County Sheriff's Office in which Fortine had been accused of inappropriate sexual contact with four victims under 14 years of age.
Fortine is being held in the Crawford County Jail in lieu of a $500,000 bond. He is presumed innocent unless and until all allegations against him are proven beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
