A Baxter Springs, Kansas man was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Apricot Road, four miles west of Joplin.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2001 Suzuki dirt bike driven by Vance O. Asquith, 22, Baxter Springs, struck a deer in the roadway.
Asquith was treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
