Joplin, Seneca residents injured in three-vehicle accident on 43

Two people were injured in a three-vehicle accident 2:22 p.m. today on MO 43, five miles south of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2017 Honda Civic driven by Madison R. Hogan, 23, Seneca, was stopped in traffic waiting to make a left turn, when it was struck in the rear by a 2017 Jeep Wrangler driven by Brooke E. Hutching, 28, Seneca, which caused the Hogan vehicle to hit a 2019 Kia Niro driven by Rylee E. Hammons, 24, Joplin, nearly head on.

Hogan was treated for moderate injuries and Hammons for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
