(From the Carthage Police Department)On Thursday, March 7, 2024, at 5:05 AM, Carthage Officers were dispatched to a single-vehicle crash on MO 171 in the eastbound lane.
The vehicle, a 2017 GMC Acadia, was traveling eastbound on MO 171 and struck the traffic signal pole at the intersection of MO 171 and I49.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced deceased on scene. He has been identified as Andrew Corriston, age 29 of Nevada, Missouri. His next of kin have been notified. There were no other occupants in the vehicle. This is Carthage’s first fatality accident of 2024.
