Barton County Commission issues burn ban until further notice

The Barton County Commission is ordering a BURN BAN for all of Barton County.

With very dry conditions being persistent across much of the area and below normal rainfall levels causing a elevated risk of fire. The Barton County Commission's Office is ordering a burn ban for all of Barton County. Until further notice, we ask there be NO OUTSIDE BURNING.

Fires can spread rapidly in these conditions. Outside burning is discouraged.

 
Avoid activities that cause open flames or sparks. Properly discard of cigarettes. Avoid parking on dry grass and check trailers for dragging chains.
