Carthage Humane Society won't accept any more animals

(From the Carthage Humane Society)

It is with heavy hearts that we must share some important news about the future of Carthage Humane Society. While we have worked tirelessly to raise the necessary funds to keep our doors open, we have now reached a critical point where we are unable to take in any more animals. Our current priority is to care for the animals already in our shelter and ensure they find loving homes or secure placement with other rescues.

**Effective immediately, we will no longer be able to accept new animals into our care.**

Our focus now is on finding loving homes for the animals currently with us. These pets rely on us, and we are committed to doing everything possible to ensure that they are placed in safe, caring environments.

We deeply appreciate the support of our community during this challenging time, and we are hopeful that with continued fundraising efforts, we can remain open. However, our top priority right now is the well-being of the animals we are already responsible for.

If you are able to adopt or foster, now is the time when your help is needed the most. Even if you cannot take in a pet, sharing our mission or contributing to our fundraising efforts can make a significant difference in the lives of these animals.

Thank you for standing by us as we work through this. We remain hopeful and are committed to doing everything we can to give these animals the bright future they deserve.
