10/21/2024 Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of E. 12th St. regarding a theft not in progress. Investigation continues.
10/21/2024 Officers received a name and number regarding a lost or stolen wallet while at Walmart. Later in the week, the lost wallet was found in the county and turned in. Owners notified.
On 10/21/2024, Officer received a message regarding a stolen phone by a shopper at Walmart. Investigation continues.
10/22/2024 Officer was contacted in reference to a male causing a disturbance at the Wyatt Earp Park. A summons for peace disturbance was issued.
10/23/2024 Officer was advised of a shoplifting incident at Dollar General. Investigation continues.
10/23/2024 Officers responded to a domestic assault in the 700 block of E. 9th St. One person was arrested and transported to the Barton County Jail and booked for Assault Domestic 2nd Degree.
10/24/2024 Officer conducted a traffic stop at 9th & Broadway. Driver was arrested for DWI-Drug Intoxication; driver was also revoked and had 3 active warrants from Jasper County. Drug paraphernalia and controlled substance were also located in the vehicle; charges pending results from lab. The passenger was arrested on an active warrant out of Vernon County.
10/24/2024 Officer was dispatched to the 600 block of West 13th St in reference to stolen property. Investigation continues.
10/24/2025 On person came into the Police Department with a complaint of harassment. Summons was issued to the suspect for peace disturbance.
10/25/2024 Officer was dispatched to the 700 block of E. 12th St regarding property damage. Investigation continues.
10/25/2024 Officer was patrolling in the area of 9th and Oak St when he observed a male riding a motorcycle and knew the subject was not motorcycle qualified Subject was issued a summons for Driving While Intoxicated/Drugs and was also issued summonses for no motor cycle endorsement, failure to register vehicle and no proof of insurance.
10/26/2024 Officers were asked to respond to the 1300 block of Lexington in reference to a theft of coins from washer and dryer units. Investigation continues.
