A Stark City man was killed in a two-vehicle accident 3:53 p.m. today on MO 86 two miles south of Granby.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Melissa K. Rodriguez, 48, Mount Vernon, attempted to make a left turn in front of a 2009 Suzuki Boulevard motorcycle driven by James R Stuart, 71, Stark City, and struck the motorcycle.
Newton County Coroner Jerry Deems pronounced Stuart dead at the scene.
The fatality was the 88th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
