(From the City of Joplin)Do you have questions or concerns about how your municipal government works? Want a chance to meet your council members? Have an idea you’d like them to consider?
Please join us for Council in the Park. This is not a formal meeting of the council, there is no agenda, and no items will be voted on. Up to three council members will be present at each of these Council in the Park events over the next year, to avoid having a quorum of council present, as no official city business will be decided during these events.
The first one will be held at Ewert Park on Monday, October 14, from 5:45 p.m. to 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided. Mark your calendar for 2025.

Monday, January 13, 2025: Joplin History & Mineral Museum
Monday, April 15, 2025: Joplin Athletic Complex
Monday, July 14, 2025: Cunningham Park
These events provide Council members a chance to meet and engage with the public to answer questions, listen to ideas, and address concerns. We’re eager to hear from you!
The Food Trucks should "follow" these events, just to add something extra to them.
