(From the City of Joplin)A south Joplin roadway near Shoal Creek is scheduled for repair work that will close the road to traffic through weekdays.
Beginning Monday, August 10, Glendale Road under I-44 will be closed to allow crews to repair guardrails that line the side of the road as it curves alongside Shoal Creek.
The road will be closed Mondays through Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the length of the project. It will be open to traffic in the evenings and on weekends. The work is anticipated to take about two weeks.
The City will place a soft closure to the road at the roundabout near Mercy Hospital, and a hard closure just past the businesses in that area. Drivers are advised to find alternate routes while the work is underway.
