Teen airlifted to Mercy Joplin after collision on I-49

A Katy, Texas, man was injured in a two-vehicle collision 10:48 p.m. Monday on I-49 two miles south of Sheldon.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2016 Honda HR-V, driven by an 18-year-old Webb City man struck the rear of a 2025 Honda NAVI driven by a 19-year-old Katy Texas man.

The Texas man was airlifted to Mercy Joplin with serious injuries.
