Two people were injured in a one-vehicle accident 7:40 p.m. Thursday on Fir Road one mile north of Reeds.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2026 Yamaha motorcycle driven by a 20-year-old Carterville man began to brake causing the vehicle to overturn and travel off the roadway.
The driver was treated for moderate injuries and a passenger, a 23-year-old Joplin woman, for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
