Around Town Math Adventure planned at Carthage Intermediate Center

(From the Carthage R-9 School District)

The Carthage Intermediate Center on Tuesday, March 10, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm will be transformed into Tigerville for their Around Town Math Adventure!

This is a fun, family event, focused on teaching our 5th and 6th grade students how to budget and spend their money wisely.

Students will be provided, upon arrival, a pretend $400 paycheck they will cash with a bank, pay their Carthage Water and Electric utility bill, learn how to save their money, and then choose how to spend their remaining money with Tigerville local businesses.

Tigerville businesses are H.E.R.E Carthage Ninja Warrior Course, Grace Lanes Bowling, YMCA Free Throws, Vital Farms Calf Roping, FFA Petting Zoo, The Hive Nail Painting, and Crossland Construction 3D Figure Designing.

They will also have an opportunity to donate to local charities such as the Carthage Crisis Center, plant a flower through Vision Carthage to be delivered to residents at Oak Pointe Senior Living, or make a snack pack for Carthage Bright Futures.

The Carthage High School Jazz Band, Soccer Team, Cheerleaders, and State Champion Football Team will also host fun events for the evening.

Tigerville is a night for lots of family fun. We are looking forward to an exciting evening with our 5th and 6th grade students and their families.
