According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2010 Chevrolet Impala driven by Evan C. Bates, 19, Lockwood, crossed the center line and struck a 2019 Peterbilt driven by Charles R. Mahoney, 46, Springfield.
Bates and Mahoney were taken to Mercy Hospital, Springfield, with serious and minor injuries, respectively.
