Seneca residents injured in collision on 43

Two Seneca residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident 3 p.m. today on MO 43, one mile south of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2015 Mac truck driven by Perry Kaieler, 31, Texarkana, Arkansas, struck the rear of a 2014 Toyota Prius driven by Olen L. Smith, 75, Seneca, that was stopped in traffic.

Smith was treated for moderate injuries and a passenger, Nicholas D. Smith, 50, Seneca, for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
