Reduced lanes, traffic delays scheduled on Route 571 in Carthage

TRAFFIC ALERT: Reduced Lanes, Traffic Delays on Rt 571 in Carthage for Paving/Striping Aug. 5 & 6


Where: Missouri Route 571 (Fairlawn/Garrison Avenue) between Fairview Avenue and Airport Drive in Carthage

When:
Paving – 7 m.-7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 5
Striping – 7 a.m.-5 p.m., Friday, Aug. 6

What: Traffic will be reduced to one lane while contractor crews pave and stripe Route 571 (Fairlawn/Garrison Avenue) between Fairview Avenue and Airport Drive. At the conclusion of this work, it is expected the new roundabout at Route 571 and Elk Street will be OPEN to traffic.








Traffic Impacts

Traffic will be reduced to one lane to allow contractor crews to pave and stripe Route 571

 (Fairlawn/Garrison Avenue) between Fairview Avenue and Airport Drive

Drivers can expect to be directed through the work zone by flaggers

All lanes of Route 571 (Fairlawn/Garrison Avenue) remain CLOSED between Southside Boulevard and Maple Street

Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching work zone

Drivers are urged to seek alternate route

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.

Additional Project Information: This work is part of a project that also includes resurfacing and sidewalk improvements along Route 571 between Fairview Avenue and I-49.
