A Lockwood man was killed in a one-vehicle accident 1:30 a.m. Saturday on U. S. 160, four miles east of Lockwood.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2019 Dodge Ram driven by Jody W. Miles, 65, Lockwood, ran off the roadway and struck a utility pole.
Dade County Coroner Gary Banta pronounced Miles dead at the scene at 5:17 a.m.
The fatality was the 87th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
