Joplin, Baxter Springs residents injured in collision on 7th Street

 Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 5:30 p.m. Monday on 7th Street, two miles west of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2007 GMC Sierra 3500 driven by Andre'a E. Swindell, 36, Joplin, failed to yield to oncoming traffic and was hit by a 2013 Ford Focus driven by Sharon F. Judd, 77, Baxter Springs, Kansas.

Swindell was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Carthage.

Judd was treated for moderate injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
