Six Wentworth, Monett residents injured in two-vehicle collision

Six people were injured in a two-vehicle collision 9:45 a.m. Sunday on Tiger Road at Cherry Road five miles northwest of Wentworth.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2015 Ford F-150 driven by Jeffrey A. Owens, 46, Monett, failed to yield at an uncontrolled intersection and struck a 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by Jess C. Price, 36, Wentworth, on the passenger side. The Price vehicle traveled off the roadway and hit a fence.







Four passengers in the Price vehicle, Billie J. Castlebury-Price, 34, a 5-year-old boy and 7 and 8-year-old girls, all of Wentworth were treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Joplin.

Two passengers in the Owens vehicle, both 17-year-old Monett girls, were treated for moderate injuries at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.
