A Carthage woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident 5:55 a.m. Sunday on MO 96 two miles northwest of Carthage.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Kimberly D. Winchester, 60, Carthage, struck a horse in the roadway.
Winchester was treated for moderate injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
