Motorcyclist airlifted to Springfield, passenger injured after head-on collision

Two McDonald County residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident 7:47 p.m. Wednesday on Highway 76, 10 miles east of Anderson.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1996 Mazda B2300 driven by Treg A. Dumond, 18, Anderson, pulled into the pathway of an oncoming 1980 Suzuki GS 850 motorcycle driven by Michael W. Krier, 24, Pineville, and collided head-on.

Krier was airlifted to Cox Hospital, Springfield, where he was treated for serious injuries. A passenger on the motorcycle, Samantha C. Craven, 23, Noel, was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
