Ribbon cutting to mark opening of Mercy Park in Joplin

(From the City of Joplin)

Save the date of August 9 to join City officials, Mercy Joplin representatives, and others who have been a part of the development of Joplin’s newest park. A Ribbon Cutting with the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 9 at the Park’s main pavilion near the lake.

This is Joplin’s newest addition to the park system. Located at 26th and Maiden Lane, this 18-acre park includes trails, benches, picnic shelters, a pond, trees, native landscaping, and restrooms.

Entrance to the park and parking is located on the west side of St. John’s Boulevard. More details will be provided closer to the date.

  1. Robert Watson would like to attend. Could someone swing by and pick him up?
