...FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM CDT WEDNESDAY
THROUGH THURSDAY MORNING...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* Portions of southeast Kansas and Missouri, including the
  following areas, in southeast Kansas, Bourbon, Cherokee, and
  Crawford. In Missouri, Barry, Barton, Benton, Camden, Cedar,
  Christian, Dade, Dallas, Dent, Douglas, Greene, Hickory,
  Howell, Jasper, Laclede, Lawrence, Maries, McDonald, Miller,
  Morgan, Newton, Oregon, Ozark, Phelps, Polk, Pulaski, Shannon,
  St. Clair, Stone, Taney, Texas, Vernon, Webster, and Wright.

* From 1 AM CDT Wednesday through Thursday morning

* A storm system moving out of the southern plains will bring
  another round of rainfall to the region from tonight through
  Thursday morning. Storm total rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches
  are expected with the heaviest amounts occurring north of the
  Highway 60 corridor. Amounts approaching 4 inches are possible
  across the Lake of the Ozarks region of central Missouri.

* Flash flooding will become increasingly likely where the
  heaviest rainfall occurs due to soils already being saturated.
  Additionally, flooding of main stem rivers, creeks, streams, and
  low water crossings will likely continue.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should Flash Flood Warnings be issued.
