Barricades on roadways are put there for a reason. This is an example of why you should not move or drive around a barricade after there has been flooding. If you will remember, this section of roadway (which is by the Falls) was completely washed out during the flooding in December 2015. Although the road is still there this time, it wouldn't take much weight at all for the roadway to give way.
Our officers spent a considerable amount of time this weekend replacing barricades that people moved. They are there for your safety so that you won't become a victim that needs to be rescued.
