The Crowder College Professional Staff Association awarded their Spring 2017 Student Leadership Award to Jeremiah Rittenhouse. The award comes from an employee nomination and provides a one-hundred dollar cash award and certificate.
Rittenhouse is graduating with an Associate of Science in Pre-Engineering and maintains a 4.0 gpa. His academic success is also accompanied by his volunteer work. He has volunteered at many locations throughout southwest Missouri. Some of those volunteer opportunities include: singing Christmas carols to nursing home tenants, Hope Kitchen, Beeson Bluebird Trail (Cassville), Haven of the Ozarks no-kill animal shelter, 4-H Camp Counselor, Elk River Stream Cleanup, Community Food Pantry at Cassville United Methodist Church, 4-H International Service learning trip to Nassau and many other 4-H activities.
Rittenhouse is involved in Project NOW, Phi Theta Kappa, and tutors for the Student Success Center on the Neosho campus and has been on the Dean’s list every semester. He plans to transfer to Missouri S&T to continue working on a degree in Engineering.
