Oronogo dog owner gives up dogs after six people, including law enforcement officer, bitten

(From the Jasper County Sheriff's Office)

On September 21st 2021 the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office animal control officer assisted Oronogo Police Department at 247 Victor St, in reference to the owner of eighteen (18) dogs voluntarily releasing ownership. This follows eight dogs that had been released a month ago.

The owner of the dogs agreed to release them after six people, including a law enforcement officer, had been bitten by the dogs.

Previously, summons had been issued for no city tags, dog at large and vicious dogs.

The dogs were taken to the Joplin Humane society where they will be examined and available for adoption.
