08/29/2022 Officers were dispatched to the Lamar Mini Storage units on in the 1700 block of Walnut St. regarding several units being broken into. Investigation continues.

08/29/2022 Officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on W. 12th St at Muddy Creek Bridge. It was also observed by an officer from the MSHP who located the vehicle south of SW 30th LN on SW 1st Ln. A probable cause statement was sent to the State Prosecutor for failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, speeding, lane violation and defective equipment.

08/30/2022 Officer was advised of a possible violation of a full order of protection. A report will be made and sent to the Prosecuting Attorney for formal charges.

08/30/2022 Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of E. 17th in reference to a male subject not letting a female and their child out of the residence to leave. One person was placed under arrest for domestic assault; he was transported to the Barton County Jail where he was placed on a 24 hr hold for investigation for Domestic Assault 2nd Degree, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Endangering the Welfare of a Child. The report was sent to the Prosecuting Attorney for consideration for filing charges.

09/01/2022 Officer was dispatched to the 1300 block of Poplar for a suspicious person. Suspect was located in the 1300 block of Grand, transported to the Barton County Jail where he was booked and released on a summons to court for Assault.








09/02/2022 Officer responded to a harassment Complaint NW 1st Ln. Subject was taken to the Jasper County Jail for a 24 hr hold on charges of Harassment.

09/02/2022 Officer took a report of a theft and Fraud-Illegal Use of a Credit Card in the 1700 block of Lexington. Investigation continues.

09/03/2022 Officer took a report of assault on NW 1st Ln. The suspect was transported to the Barton County Jail where she was charged with Assault Domestic 4th Degree.
