Three Nevada, Bronaugh residents killed, two injured in collision on MO 54 at 43

Three people were killed and two injured in a two-vehicle collision 12:12 a.m. today on MO 54 at MO 43, five miles west of Nevada.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2013 Ford F150 driven by Tylar A. Green, 19, Nevada, ran a stop sign and struck a 2014 Peterbilt driven by Robert E. King, 48, Nevada, in the side. Both vehicles traveled off the roadway.

Two passengers in the Green vehicle, Allison R. Bittiker, 24, Nevada, and a 17-year=old Bronaugh girl, were pronounced dead at the scene by Vernon County Coroner David Ferry.








Dr. Stuppy at Cox South Hospital, Springfield, pronounced Green dead at 4:40 a.m.

Another passenger in the Green vehicle, Derick T. Mahurin, 19, Nevada, was treated for serious injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.

The fatalities were the 94th, 95th and 96th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
