Two people were injured in a three-vehicle accident 9:57 p.m. Friday on MO 171, two miles north of Carl Junction.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1995 Peterbilt driven by Jerome N. Postpichal, 46, Kansas City, struck the rear of a 2008 Toyota Matrix driven by Paola S. Aguilar-Nunez, 38, Webb City, causing it to hit the rear of a 2011 Ford Escape driven by Anthony M. Johnson, 62, Pittsburg, Kansas.
Aguilar-Nunez was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Joplin.
Johnson was treated for moderate injuries at Via Christi Hospital, Pittsburg.
