Three people killed, Neosho teen airlifted to Freeman following crash on 71

 Three people were killed and a fourth person critically injured in a two-vehicle collision 9:35 p.m. Tuesday on U. S. 71 near Brush Creek Road in Pineville.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2014 Nissan Versa driven by Kyler M. Johnson, 29, Washburn, traveling southbound in the northbound lane, struck a 2011 Toyota Prius driven by a 17-year-old Neosho girl.








McDonald County Coroner Jonathan Fletcher pronounced Johnson and two passengers in his vehicle, Joseph P. Lynch, 58, Powell, and a 15-year-old Washburn boy dead at the scene.

The Neosho girl was flown to Freeman West Hospital with serious injuries.

The fatalities were 87th, 88th and 89th this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
