A Carthage man was injured in a two-vehicle collision 11:02 a.m. today on County Road 190, on mile south of Carterville.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2009 Chevrolet HHR driven by Richard P. Smith, 89, Carthage, failed to yield to a 1987 Freightliner dump truck driven by Ty C. Cole, 22, Diamond.
Smith was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Joplin.
