Joplin woman, child, Neosho man injured in 3-vehicle accident on 160

Three people were injured in a three-vehicle accident 9:22 p.m. Saturday on U. S. 160 at Two Rivers Road in Highlandville.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado driven by David M. Roberts, 71, Springfield, was stopped to make a left turn in traffic with a 2020 Toyota Camry driven by Arturo H. Villalobos, 25, Neosho, stopped behind him when a 2015 Ram 1500 driven by James E. Wise, 50, Ozark, failed to stop and struck the Villalobos vehicle in the rear, pushing it into the Roberts vehicle.

Villalobos and two passengers in his vehicle, Kayla X. Rodriguez, 24, and an 8-year-old boy, both of Joplin, were treated for minor injuries at Cox South Hospital, Springfield.
