(From the Newton County Sheriff's Office)Recently Newton County residents have been hit with calls from “Publishers Clearing House” in regards to winning prizes.
1. PCH does not call ahead when you are a winner.
2. PCH does not require payment for you to receive your prize.
These are scammers who will convince you have won a big cash prize and a car but make you pay them a fee via a gift card. TOTAL SCAM. Please don’t give them any money!
