(From the City of Joplin)City officials will gather with Joplin Public Works staff, Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors, and the public to celebrate the completion of the widening project of West 32nd Street.
The Ribbon Cutting will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, on the west end of 32nd Street, near Joplin Fire Station 6, 5302 W 32nd St, Joplin, MO 64804. Please park on the west drive of the Fire Station so as not to block the apron where the fire apparatus exits the station.
Widening nearly two miles of 32nd Street to three lanes, from Schifferdecker Avenue west to Central City Road, the project added a center lane and a sidewalk-shared use path, eliminating previously existing peaks and valleys.
More information about the project will be shared during the event.
