Lamar woman injured in collision south of Jasper

A Lamar woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident 8:25 a.m. today on Route M three miles south of Jasper.

According to the Highway Patrol report, Rose Burke, 59, Lamar, driving a 2009 Ford Mustang, lost control on an icy roadway, crossed the center line and struck a 2020 Nissan Kicks driven by Carolyn H. Pineda, 58, Clarksville, Tennessee.

Burke was treated for minor injuries at Cox Barton County Hospital, Lamar.
