Pierce City teen cited for DWI, Anderson man flown to Fayetteville hospital following crash


A Pierce City teen was cited for felony driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle accident 4 p.m. Tuesday on MO 76 one mile east of Anderson, which left two people injured

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2016 Hyundai Elantra driven by Nathanial M. McCamish, 18, Pierce City, ran off the roadway on a curve and struck a guardrail, a mailbox and an embankment.







A passenger, Steven C. James, 20, Anderson, was flown to Washington Regional Hospital, Fayetteville, Arkansas to be treated for serious injuries.

McCamish, who was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Joplin, was also cited for no seat belt, failure to register motor vehicle, no insurance, minor in possession of liquor and failing to drive on the right half of the roadway.
