(From KGCS) Missouri Southern State University has new touch screen technology that allows students to explore the human body in news ways. Three Anatomage tables were purchased with funds from a $2.3 million Science to Jobs Grant.
In the next Newsmakers, Dr. Sherry Whiteman, Allied Health Department Chair and Dr. Suzanne Hull, Director of MOSO CAPS, explain how the tables offer 3D images of cadavers and how their programming can be applied to a variety of areas of study.
Students share their experiences with the Anatomage tables in a video package. Emily Bysor and Samuel Winesburg talk about using the tables as a study tool for learning anatomy and the ability to explore inside organs, muscles and more. .
Newsmakers is airing nightly at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. the week of March 10 on KGCS-TV and will air at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, March 16 on KOAM-TV. It is also posted on the station’s YouTube channel: KGCS - Missouri Southern State University.
KGCS programming can be seen on channel 21 and is also available on regional cable television systems such as Sparklight, Mediacom and Suddenlink Communications. The station operates as a service of the Department of Communications at Missouri Southern State University.
