(From KGCS)Beware of that text message about your Amazon account needing funds and don’t click on that urgent attachment from what looks like company leadership. Both could be hackers preying on your online information. The latest scams like those in text messages are prompting warnings from the Better Business Bureau and will be shared on the upcoming edition of Newsmakers.
Regional Director of the Missouri Better Business Bureau Pamela Hernandez explains that scammers are smart and it has become easier for them to trick people into losing lots of money. She discusses the top scams from cryptocurrency investing scams to employment and romance scams. Hernandez shares information about the BBB’s Scam Survival Kit to help people recover and rebuild after being targeted by scammers.
