TRAFFIC ALERT: Route 43/96 Roundabout CLOSED in Jasper Co. for Pavement Replacement Oct. 6

Where: Roundabout at Missouri Route 43 and Missouri Route 96 in Jasper County north of Joplin

When: 7 p.m., Sunday, October 6 until 7 a.m., Monday, October 7

What: Contractor crews removing old pavement and laying new surface in roundabout

Traffic Impacts

Roundabout at Route 43 and Route 96 north of Joplin CLOSED during nighttime hours while crews are working

Drivers should find alternate routes

Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone

Drivers should expect delays

Traffic will be directed through the work zone by flaggers at all four legs of the roundabout

Drivers urged to watch for crews and equipment working close to traffic

No signed detour

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.

This work is in preparation for a resurfacing project on Barton County Route NN in Liberal and Missouri Route 43 between Liberal and Joplin. That project is scheduled to start later this summer.
