Even if they sound really convincing; get their alleged information, hang up the phone, THEN you can look up the telephone number for the Jasper County Missouri Sheriff’s Office yourself and call that number (417-358-8177) for verification of who they claim to be.
Yes, they may use a name of an actual deputy and they may even call from a “spoofed” number to make it appear legitimate. But WE WILL NEVER CALL YOU AND TELL YOU THAT WE WILL COME ARREST YOU IF YOU DO NOT SEND MONEY!
Likewise, we would never have you pay fines, bonds or anything else using bitcoin, gift card or pre-paid debit cards. We would just come and get you. IT IS A SCAM!
