Three Barton County roads closed for pipe work

UPDATED TRAFFIC ALERT: Three Barton County Routes CLOSED for Pipe Work Jan. 21-24

When: 7:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m., Tuesday-Friday, January 21-24

Where: These three (3) routes in Barton CountyRoute P between Missouri/Kansas state line and Northwest 160th Lane west of Liberal
Route J between U.S. Route 160 and Southwest 20th Road west of Lamar
Route C between Route F and Barton/Cedar county line southwest of Jerico Springs

What: MoDOT crews replacing pipes underneath the roads

Traffic Impacts

All lanes of affected routes CLOSED where crews are working

All lanes of affected routes OPEN during nighttime hours and weekends

Drivers will be able to access driveways and entrances on either side of the work zone, but will not be able to travel through the work zone

Drivers urged to find alternate routes

No signed detours planned

Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone

Check MoDOT’s Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts

Weather and/or scheduling conflicts could alter the work schedule.

This work was previously set for January 10-17 but was rescheduled due to inclement weather.
