Aurora teen killed, 3 injured in head-on crash

One person was killed and three injured in a two-vehicle collision 5:29 p.m. Friday on Highway K three miles north of Aurora.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2020 Honda Civic driven by a 19-year-old Aurora man crossed the center line and struck a 2012 Dodge Ram driven by a 36-year-old Springfield woman head on.

The 19-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:11 p.m.








The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries, while two passengers in her vehicle, a 37-year-old man and a 9-year-old boy were treated for serious and moderate injuries, respectively, at Mercy Springfield.

The fatality was the fourth this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
